Dr. McCoy finds a post-apocalyptic civilization although actually is the true source of anime on Earth.
Have you thought about making your games...unique in any way?
Valve has addressed Steam's huge AI clone-game problem - but instead of vowing action, it suggests developers simply make their games less copyable

@pelicangut Dad’s the true actor in that family.
But I think that just re-emphasizes my main point, which is this: even a few hours after the first screenings, the debate was not over whether or not Phantom Menace was a good movie, but over whether it was only kind of bad or epically, historically bad. That was the way people felt about it in the moment, before 25 years of nostalgia and other sickly sweet frosting were slathered on top
@jalefkowit Yeah - never seen a movie theater going from hype to disappointed in such a short time. That move really shattered so much sould in its first 30 minutes
british person: i love tea. i drink tea every day. for my entire life i drink tea every single day
non-british person who's really into tea: oh cool, what type of tea??
british person: i don't know
Same here in Friesland!
If you would ask you will get only two answers. "Thiele" or "Büntig", which are the most common tea brands here.
You are born into a Thiele or a Bünting family, no choice!
So, by birth, I am a Bünting man!
BTW. you know the tea world champions?
@GrapheneOS I don’t think I understand. Is the USB stack inside a pKVM?
@idkrn pKVM acts a hypervisor underneath the regular OS kernel so it has to handle a bunch of stuff properly which it handles in a special way. It's complex and it appears that it hasn't been properly brought up on recent Pixels for 6.18 yet since we had to fix several issues in the core kernel code for it.
Wow, I wrote a good script for a TV show pilot. I should shoot that.
@aurynn Mōrena! I'm in a café, and there is a puppy.
@Happyfishmedia Ooo nice! sounds lovely
I wrote accessibility requirements for an interactive donut chart.
I’ve been asked to do a
“knowledge transfer” to a front end development team that does not know what ARIA is.
How did we get here?
@racheled Most web developers have no idea about web developing.
I always tell people that accessibility people explain to people that earn three times as much how their job works.
It's an enormous knowledge deficit, because frontend, apart from React, is all not real programming, you know… 🙄

@ajroach42 It's always, always a good time to re-read Neuromancer. I can't keep a copy of that book, seems I always end up giving them away. Ruby is new to me, I'll have to remedy that.

Things I have heard all my life, since at least 40 years:
- We will run out of oil in 20 years
- Fusion reactors will give us cheap energy in 20 years
- We just need to build more roads instead of public transport to solve traffic jams
- You will have to give up your relative luxury for a better future for all
- We cannot tax the rich
After all those years, I think these are all lies ;)

@ai6yr “Rose said she was shocked when the power plant, a former Duke Energy site housing 69 temporary gas turbines to feed the new datacenters, began its low-level growl in August last year.” 69 gas turbines?! Plus what do you bet they won’t stay temporary.

@pelicangut A great song, we had these in Melbourne too.
Here's someone selling a complete blister card (again, in France) for pocket change. This looks like it may be a bootleg of the original product, though - different design, plain cardboard back.

I bet if we tried we could find someone in France to act as a proxy for you and buy these to ship back to the US.
@thevhswizard that looks a lot more like the branding I remember. Monster catcher is equally ungooglable but a useful reference!
Am I right in understanding this one is for sale? I'm sure I know a French person.
