Found some more photos (on reddit, apparently) of the Catch 'A' Monster pokemon knockoffs, this time with complete packaging.
It appears that this Blister Pack was the most common way these were sold, as it's what I've been able to find the most pictures of. What I remember, distinctly, was a short, squat window box with two monsters and the chain chomp.
I'm on the lookout for these toys, and especially the Window Box style package that I can find no photos of online.

There’s so much I love about this, but on the quirky/funny side in particular: the weird hand, the WORDS that are SOMETIMES capitalized (Throw the Ball to the MONSTERS & CATCH Them!!), the fact that this was produced by “Wilco Products Ltd.” Yankee Hotel Off-Brand Pokemon?
Reading your posts about these toys and about trying to find them is making me once again want to try and track down these fantasy sticker sets I had as a kid (that I think came with a Kid Cuisine frozen meal), that were sort of similar to that Geedis/Land of Ta search that became a whole thing a few years ago…
Anyhow, I’ll keep my eyes out for these for you!
