@CryptPad what is your LLM policy?
Enquiring minds would like to know.
In 2025 I can see that project members were not interested in AI
https://forum.cryptpad.org/d/2447-ai-in-cryptpad
But also with a kind of we don't have time to review.
At a time when many of us are looking for alternative tools that are explicitly not developed with LLMs, it would be nice to have a formal policy.

@ai6yr 😢

Um yes, OBVIOUSLY. When your entire career has been defined by three 'once-in-a-lifetime' financial crsises and you couldn't afford a home until maybe never and half the people you know are out of work and the other half never had retirement funds cos they were all contractors and...?
I basically figure there won't be retirement by the time I get there. The boomers I say this to kind of pat me patronizingly and say, 'don't worry, you'll get there,' as if it is just that I can't imagine I will ever get old, and then when I start to explain how and why I will actually honestly never get there but I hope they enjoy retirement because it still seems to be a working system for them, they sort of back away slowly and assume I'm depressed instead of a realist.
@cyberlyra the article buries the lede, which is that NOBODY thinks they'll be able to retire:
"Among all generations, Gen X is the least confident of retiring "with a comfortable lifestyle," the report found. Just 18% feel very confident, compared with 23% of millennials and 28% of boomers."
I'm Gen X and I have a modest 401(k) that I expect to be destroyed when the AI bubble pops
I'm still a rabbit. I know, shocking.
@ariadne I bet you're hopping mad about it.

The above post is going to get me a lot of annoying replies for not putting seventeen asterisks after the word "nobody"
@jalefkowit The word 'nobody' there isn't doing as much heavy lifting as some would whine.
If you search the Usenet archives hard enough, you can find a post from me a few hours after that screening arguing that it was not THAT bad. That post was pure cope. My tender young heart had been broken and I was trying desperately to convince myself that something else had happened
@jalefkowit Maybe you had grown up, and realised that Star Wars is for children
Using curl, because I'm playing hard to wget.
ASCII isn't, but UTF-8 is good enough for e-mail. No HTML, no callbacks. E-mails should be pure text. #GrumpyGrayBeard
@jwildeboer Absolutely. Given the amount of trouble caused by embedding everything and the kitchen sink in e-mail…
NEW: Conservative powerbroker Cleta Mitchell has raised a grassroots army to transform American voting systems and worked closely with the administration to enact her plans.
No one besides Trump himself has done more to overhaul elections.

@ProPublica 💔 I haven't received a single donation. I've reached a point of such desperation that I'm thinking about selling my kidney just to save my family and help my injured brother. Will the world remain silent while we struggle to survive in Gaza?https://x.com/jehadalmas20738/status/2114806019755028775
Feeling a bit depressed because I want to be excited about new hardware and stuff, but I simply cannot afford it. I see other indie devs lining up to buy stuff and meanwhile we're over here barely surviving. Tapestry doesn't make enough each month to afford *anything*. We've never recovered from the death of Twitterrific. I work harder and longer on Tapestry doing far more complex things than I've ever done before but it's just not paying off.
So anyway. Ignore me being sad.
Back to the code.
@arrjay @djsundog so the really annoying part here is the traffic doesn't come from their server it comes from every user, as a fairly anonymous-looking cross-origin browser request (which peertube has to allow for normal federated video stuff to work). that's why if this is abused the only circuit breaker really is to turn off federation and throw anubis on the whole site.
@lydiaconwell The Difference Engine
@oheso Yes. I wish computers were like that.
network panel says it's already downloaded a quarter gig just scrolling the main page
@scanlime the laugh/cry emoji is nowhere near capable of expressing how this makes me feel

is it too much to ask for a good automation or management game that I haven't played yet?
(yes because I've already played all of the good ones and most of the bad ones)
