Myth: “If you cut taxes for the rich, they’ll create jobs.”🤡
Microsoft just made $133.7 BILLION in net income last year. Today they announced they are getting rid of 60,000 workers. Fuck these companies man.

Just one more item for the vast pile labeled “Why Does Anyone Listen to Anthony Scaramucci”
Dreamed a long-ass dream where I was a blank kid, hiding in empty houses or offices, scavenging food & books. Super persistent cop like in Fugitive was after man in our road family. I got lost from them, so I was squatting in the basement rooms of a family, only moving around when they were out, then their daughter came back & I had to run again. I found them again at the end.
#dream
@mdhughes A "blank kid" as in you had no face or distinguishing appearence, your face and body were just blank, or do you mean something else?
@paolo @paco @Chapz @gvlx Let's also not forget that people who *do* try to sneak small LLM contributions past a strict No-AI policy:
1. Are often doing so to make a malicious point.
2. Can only make that point if they brag about it somewhere else.
So frequently, on social media or other secondary locations, these people do openly brag about their behavior where they don't expect maintainers to see. At which point, if someone does come across that and screenshots it, you have evidence that wouldn't have been apparent from the micro-PR itself, and you can handle that appropriately.
@MaddieM4 That's why as you can see from the commits, which was not evident from the screenshot you posted, we have a great team that checks thoroughly what is being submitted.
The same teams onboards and follows many new potential contributors every month so of course we invest in people and we support them through their learning process.
For some it will take a while to kick the LLM habit but with our and the community support they'll learn to be better than LLMs :-)
Welp, that's the end of Mirror's Edge: Catalyst.
When this game came out, I was too disappointed in it as a follow-up to the original to give it much time. I'm glad I finally revisited it.
It has serious flaws. Some of them are fundamental to parkour-style games, some of them are self-inflicted, and I think some of them could've been corrected with a little more time in development. But overall, I enjoyed it.
It is funny that this game they had to come up with some big bad scifi nanite as the ultimate threat. In the original game, the ultimate threat is "we taught cops parkour."
it’s 2026 and finally my food is enthusiastically consenting to being eaten

I've said it before and I'll say it again - all science is made up. I could have written this. Just give me a lab coat and get me to CERN. I've got some sciencin' to do.
Neglected particle from the dawn of time could explain why the universe still exists, new study claims
@TheBreadmonkey I think that’s because you get it from LiveScience, who hand wave away all of the crunchy maths required.
Which means when they report on something, you can’t tell if it is good science or bollocks.
