Godot model corruption
I got the idea for this some time last week, I think. Pretty good, but it doesn’t yet work on everything, such as ShaderMaterials.
Fun effect. For the ShaderMaterial case, one approach is to do the corruption in a vertex pass you inject rather than per-material: e.g. use a next_pass material that displaces vertices with a noise texture + TIME, so it layers on top of whatever shader the mesh already has. Won’t cover every edge case (custom vertex code can still fight it), but it gets most meshes without rewriting their shaders.
Corruptor Test
The only question the Israeli elections might resolve is whether Israel will have all-caps GENOCIDE or genocide lite.
@RachelThornSub Yep. That just about sums it up.
@tsturm If I had given it any thought, I could have predicted it. It's perfect for such people, really, because it has none of the emotional risk of talking about your fears or hopes to a real human being, and unlike a human fortuneteller it is free (for the moment). It also flatters you and supports you even when you are obviously wrong. And everyone remains largely convinced that LLMs really are "genius" and all-knowing.
@RachelThornSub LLMs are truly a mirror to the human psyche. All it takes is a chat window to go like "You are absolutely correct!" several times a day, and half the population is losing their minds.

@janl woohoo
the sonic games have ruined my mind enough that my association with the word "foxgirl" is an anime-style humanoid being with foxy ears and a tail, but a "foxboy" is always miles "tails" prower, and always said in dr. eggman's SA1/2-era voice

I am returning my Jolla Phone.
Everytime I read the SailfishOS community, it made me more sad because the tolerance of big LLMs and vibe-coded apps doesn't really distinguish SFOS from the Big 2 at the end of the day...
@feff That is such a shame :(
I need to replace my phone imminently, and right now, it looks like another Pixel.
Lula wins a ‘miracle’ election in Brazil. Now comes the hard part: putting the country back on the right track

I was asking about sci fi shows or books on here a while back. Someone here suggested I watch The Expanse.
Im on season 2 now. It’s a damn good show. Thanks!
@frigginglorious loved it!
Like #Midsommar #NapoleonDynamite is another much loved film that some people just don't like.
I watched Napoleon Dynamite last night after watching Midsommar earlier.
And if you watch the two films back to back, you will see they mirror each other perfectly.
That's a turn of events I had not expected...
