In Texas, we’ve actually seen more snow the last 5 years than the previous 20, but also more extreme heat. It’s just extremes all around.

Our weather comes in the form of months-long heatwaves and droughts, isolated severe floods that saturate the ground and wash downstream instead of replenishing aquifers, and the annual extreme cold snap in February.

Oh yeah, it’s just not warmer for longer. I was just thinking about adding stuff about this to the previous comment.
The past decade it’s been increasingly common with what seems like an extreme early winter, full blizzard for about a week in early October and then it’s like the weather goes “nah, I’ll give you some more summer” and it’s barely fall season till early november.
It really shows how fucked everything already is when it’s generally much warmer for longer here and much colder for longer for you in Texas, with episodes for both of what I’ve started calling “extreme bipolar weather”.
And I know neither of us are experiencing the real extremes that are happening in many places around the world, an increasing and already scary amount of people are dying every year from all the crazy shit going on with the environment. Heat strokes, hypothermia, floods, drought etc. and it’s not even close to how bad it will get in our lifetimes.
It’s fucking scary, and a completely valid reason to hate humanity and society as it is (and has been for a long time).

I do not consider this kind of preaching to the choir constructive at all: it oversimplifies any nuance in articles posted into building the echo chamber. what’s constructive for discussion should be what challenges!

Elon Musk is badmouthing #Ukraine constantly, and so many of his posts are obviously false. Here he is claiming that money for Ukraine is actually sent back to the US to fund the Democrats.

Does anyone seriously believe, that under a Trump government with a Trump-controlled FBI, DOJ, etc., while Musk supposedly has proof Ukraine is a money-laundering operation for the Democrats, this corruption is going on for almost two years, without any federal intervention?

The wheel bearings, I was able to salvage. The wheels are feel decent now, particularly for what they are.

I am considering going back in and taking out the caged bearings and replacing them with free bearings, but only if I can get this pedal and crank situation sorted.

That barely never happens for me, so if I get an Actual Phone Call I assume it’s fairly important. (Unless I don’t have the contact saved, then there ain’t no way!)
I get that we have mobile phones with us always now, but did y’all leave landlines off the hook back in the day to block parole too? 😆
