@bici I don’t know specifically if there are any MLA/candidates, but I believe Findley has faced accusations in the past. Or it might have just been a comment about a portion of the general supporter base. But for Sturko to say it live on the CBC radio, I have no reason to doubt her.

as the years go on I'm looking more and more like the kind of person who runs a hackerspace
I haven't tried it, but I suspect that a brave soul could figure out how to make this vegan by starting with a mixture of coconut cream and sugar
@cwebber I bought a pressure cooker at a yard sale years ago for the sole purpose of making dulce de leche. Of course now you can buy cans of the stuff from any Latin grocer!
Titanium Court understands the essence of what's important about fae characters, while using completely different aesthetics than fantasy typically does. I love to see it. Usually you get the reverse, fae aesthetics on characters that might as well be mortals.
There needs to be a perceived irrationality at the heart of the fae: something about them that cannot be entirely understood if you are mortal. It makes sense to them, and when you're immortal that's really the only part you care about.

Right there under the search bar on my setup at least.
Kagi calls them lenses, and there’s a bunch. You can change the default by selecting the current one (in my case below, “Small Web")
@jalefkowit I would come see you talk about a book you didn't write tbh
(I do know that this would be an even worse way to make money than a regular book tour is)
@SnoopJ That’s actually an incredible idea. “Show me on the poster where I said it was going to be MY book”

@chris Looks horrible! One can hope that continued media and public pressure on some of the worst conservative MLA will result in ejections from caucus or an internal split all leading to a no confidence vote. Political turmoil for a decade in which the Greens can build a lasting presence in BC Politics.
In this episode Geordi returns to Earth's past although accidentally causes the crew to get space drunk.

Great song! Great band!
@mastodonmigration @flexghost The drink was pretty great too 😉
I want to start a club of people who get very, very annoyed, when people continue spreading misinformation like "Start menu is web based" and "Win11 UI is running on JS"
The OS sucks but please be factually correct when it comes for the reasons ffs
@Sominemo Windows 11 has parts of its UI that are not win32 and this is one of the reasons why it's shit. The other is Microsoft's contempt for the users and the work they do on their computers
It is quite fast for making dulce de leche, but more involved than the electric pressure cooker method
- Get a standard size wide mouth mason jar
- Pour half a can of sweetened condensed milk into the jar (this technique is for small batches, but dulce de leche is *extremely* rich, so this is several servings)
- Microwave for about a minute, make sure that the dulce de leche doesn't boil over, it probably won't yet but it depends on your microwave power
- Now start microwaving by hitting the 30 seconds / start button repeatedly and watching the sweetened condensed milk LIKE A HAWK. It will eventually boil up almost to the top of the jar and PRESS STOP before it makes a huge mess
- Pull it out, mix it with a fork
- Put it back in, keep starting the microwave, stopping right before it hits the top, wait for it to settle, start it up again, every third time pull it out and whisk it
- When it's a nice golden brown you're good

Throwback to about 20 years ago when I thought it would be funny to make beer koozies with the baby on board logo on them, but I had to buy them in bulk so I ended up with like 20 of them so I brought them up to my current husband's family barbecue and then my husband's family thought it was a messed up pregnancy announcement.
@Alice I like yellow as the gender reveal color. Keep em guessing

@lain I am making a diagnostic cartridge to analyze an HDMI capture stream to determine capture quirks so that HDMI capture can be made more reliable for development.
Working out the details of my upcoming book tour. One of them is that I will need to write a book, but I figure I’ll leave that one for last
