Oh cool new dwarf kingdom architecture inspiration!
Gordon Ramsey's on the telly and he's doing some whisking and talking at the same time.
@mcc without looking at the source folder, I'd hazard a guess that they were written before AGENTS.md became a de facto standard that they actually follow across the board.
@trechnex That's a good guess, but my sense is that COPILOT.md and CLAUDE.md appeared first, THEN AGENTS.md, THEN after AGENTS.md was an established standard I've started to see "skills files" crop up VERY recently only. Presumably if I looked up what a "skills file" is I'd understand quickly but I am not sure I really want to know
The real story of gen AI is the story of widespread, uncoordinated, unreported resistance.
When you see a CEO firing people who don’t use enough AI, the real story is that many of their employees refuse to do so unless their livelihood is held hostage.
When you see AI added to an application, present on every page, impossible to remove, the real story is that customers won’t use it unless it’s forced down their throats.
AI rejection is everywhere if you read between the lines.

#Chainalysis says breach exposed credentials for all customers
I do not want the firehose of ads, rage baits, and disinformation that comes with commercial social media.
It's strange to me that people who laugh at me because I'm not there do not understand that.
I feel sad they might never know the calming and deeply nourishing spaces they are missing on alternative networks.
Long live the Fediverse
So, you voted (or didn’t). The election we’ve been told to direct all of our energy into is over. Now what do you do with all of that hopeful, transformative energy?
It’s time to join the movement. The socialist movement! ➡️

How private do you consider your votes in the Threadiverse?
From the technical side anyone can spin up their own Lemmy instance and view all votes, but I'm curious at what the community's perspective on how "private" that is. I think Mbin already shows upvoters? Piefed allows anonymous voting. I also know there are sites which show all voting history, but assuming those are fairly disliked.
My general questions to the community: - Do you expect your votes to be private, or just not shown in the UI? - Would per-voter votes showing up on another aggregator platform bother you, even though your instance already shares them with other servers?
For context I'm the dev doing some two way bridge interop between atproto + Threadiverse, in atproto the votes/likes are generally publicly accessible, you just look at the users repo through something like pdsls.dev, they're readable and archivable by anyone. In my opinion this isn't that big of a problem since it's fairly hard to look at and discern (Ex all my votes: https://pdsls.dev/at://did:plc:lmdkqemqrqnfiix72pyjhfey/social.coves.feed.vote). Ultimately trying to figure out if there's already a mutual understanding that they are public and we can just mirror them or whether they should stay hidden as an aggregate.
Zionism is a colonial, genocidal, ideology and the European authorities bend knees on that. Another story of support of #genocide.
"#Antwerp #police stopped him because he was alleged to have driven through the Jewish quarter in his motorhome, which bears the slogan ‘#FreePalestine’, repeatedly.
Arrested and motorhome seized
According to the police, this constituted a provocation and a disturbance of public order. Almaani and his three cousins were taken into administrative custody and had to spend a night in a cell. The motorhome was seized."

@linear @mcc @QuaternionCats @r oh wait you mean for qemu. i don't know when it was upstreamed
@leo @linear @QuaternionCats @r (for the record I am still on Windows 10 so in a sense I am living in 2018. or do you mean it's gone in Windows 10 also?)
@neil @jamesb that's a good point actually, I don't like how the phrase "virtue signalling"has basically come to mean that any positive action any organisation or person takes must only have been done for public approval and applause. It's basically used on the internet now to dosmiss any declaration of attempting to do anything morally motivated as a cynical publicity stunt
> I don't like how the phrase "virtue signalling"has basically come to mean that any positive action any organisation or person takes must only have been done for public approval and applause
Oh, absolutely, but I think that @jamesb was using it with good intentions, rather than in bad faith.
@yatil Eep, thanks for the correction. Appreciate it, Eric. Removed my boost!
@beep No worries, it happens. And to be honest, Apple would do good to explain how these things work in the UI.
@mcc yes, they often basically serve as a "cache" so agents don't have to re-ingest all the same stuff to figure out the basic shape and structure of the codebase
@rcombs So it's just soulfiles again. This is obvious in retrospect but was not obvious to me before I created this thread
Having now looked up the price, the answer should probably be hell no. 🙁
Will I accept that answer?
Outlook uncertain...
@bigzaphod Hang in there, Sean! ❤️
