not. at all. i consider anything i put here akin to standing on my nearest street corner during rush hour, shouting into the darkness
confused how anyone could think anything otherwise.
#EBTSC Poll: What should we all bake together on Nov 21,22 ?
- Decorated layer cake. A simple white layer cake, then go nuts decorating. Fancy, wacky or elegant.
- Battenberg cake. The classic checkerboard wrapped in marzipan.
- Chocolate + weird: well known options are chocolate + beet root, or +chili… or something else? Options abound.
- Swirl/marble cake - two flavours/colours of cake swirled for a fun look when you cut in.
Poll follows …
i hardly ever see the sun
Dunno how this even happens. #socks
@ai6yr What I just can't understand is why on a good pair of socks one heel wears thru completely and the other heel is like new. I believe the socks are randomly assigned to left or right foot and thus they should wear evenly?

Completely public
@DavidM_yeg @ChrisMayLA6 the inevitable outcome is words being added in response to complaints which is going to do the normal reinforcement of bias even without any corporate malfeasance.
Though honestly “censorship” being equated with having to type some words out seems a bit “give me convenience or give me death”.
@Colman @DavidM_yeg @ChrisMayLA6 I understand why you're saying that, and you're right that it's not a ban. Still, there's a clear progression from inconvenience to deterrence to forbiddance that can reasonably be described as a continuum of censorship.
@MargaretSefton
Could not happen to a more deserving individual.
😂 If you heard his little spiel, he slanders tutu-wearing folk, among other desperate "aspersions." I had no idea there are so many Texas ballerina straight party ticket voting Democrats.
Used to work on medium secure psychiatric wards; once you got through reception it was amazing how far 2-4-6-8 would get you on keypads for any internal doors and safes cos doctors could never remember anything else

🍂 Stray Kitten Report 9 (2/2)
Also, big news: we always thought the black cat who came with the kitten was the mother, until I finally could pet her, she raised her tail and... obviously a male.
Once Blacky (named for his coat, obviously) trusted me, the real mother, Grisouille ("little greyish one" in Fr) came out of the forest and joined. She had been hiding. Both are now very friendly.
I've contacted the vet, and we'll soon sterilize them all. A bit pricey, but we saved since Sept for that.
@davidrevoy May I ask if there are any tricks to get stray cats trust you so much? We try everything with a female one to calm her for sterilising for years. She would fight you even with the best food in your hand. The rescue center tried it with a big trap ... nothing. She was too intelligent.
i have an idea for cell cino club
You shall not pass! This bed is all mine on Caturday 😼🤭

@davew Yep, I know and understand the reasons. It's still an embarrassment, in my opinion. They had so many years to find solutions to speed up the process but instead it seems to get slower every time :)
@jwildeboer -- it's good that you have pride in alaska, not going to argue with that.
I know it can be pretty disheartening as a developer who spent years perfecting the craft and building a fediverse platform, only to see new vibe coded platforms emerge.
But just remember that people can tell, and that vibe coders typically do not possess the knowledge or skills to scale their platform to hundreds, thousands or millions of users without writing a prompt to "fix bugs".
Our human made platforms will continue to thrive, increasingly so, as people discover this.

PSA: You don’t get to refuse to support Zohran and actively oppose Abdul and take money from AIPAC and oppose Medicare for All and be chicken shit about abolishing ICE… then turn around and act shocked that people don’t see you as leadership material. @SenSchumer @RepJeffries
NEW: Gov. Greg Abbott spent years trying to make school vouchers a reality in Texas, even pushing to unseat rural Republicans who stood in the way.
Some lawmakers believe the effort contributed to his party's historic demise in the midterms.

@irth I want an "I voted" pin button after every time I installed Debian
I hate when people say "pie hole" or "cake hole" because I don't know if they're talking about a mouth hole or butt hole.
