And completed Selvedge jeans#2 (with massive extra bottom edge, lol... I am anticipating a bit more shrinkage with this pair. Even though the fabric was washed once. Still very stiff and bleeding indigo). Fits fine but hard-to-bend-over stiff... will have to take photos of them on later. #sewing
@mattblaze is this particular to Mississippi? In PA a provisional ballot is sent to the county for determination.
@dexter Whether the voter has to take action depends on the reason the ballot is provisional. MS has pretty strict ID requirements, and many of the provisional ballots are people who need to go back and show acceptable ID.
(Also, Spotlight continues to show files with the Files toggle turned off. I’ve tried to fix this in so many different ways. The only solution I’ve found is to exclude every possible file extension. lmao) #macOS
@robotspacer I haven't spared time, but at least on Mac I'm gonna rip out Spotlight (UI) & go back to Alfred or something.
Apple has Watsoned Sherlock too many times for my patience.

On Saturday's noon EST stream, we'll revisit the Packard Bell Legend 610 and see if we can get some respectable performance out of it with a CPU and cache upgrades. (maybe a video card too, we'll see) There will be spreadsheets! #vintagecomputing https://youtube.com/live/tWl04yeNx6s?feature=share
Doing some upgrades on the Packard Bell Legend 610 to [hopefully] make it less terrible

Any plans for a mobile version of Columnly?
The Web version is already looking super useful. I'm going to be testing it out this weekend.
You've been an absolute dynamo lately. Great job!
@arokk you can install Columnly to your Home Screen and get push notifications if your server supports web push!
of course MS Paint is on the internet now
@davidgerard Actually I'm guessing it's just something really boring -- e.g. if you actively download a .bmp file from the Internet & then open it, then it may turn out to be malformed & trigger a decades-old bug in some weird undocumented .bmp feature. But there's so little information in the CVE write-up it's hard to tell.
Spotlight has been slow for me on macOS 27. To troubleshoot, I turned off everything but apps. Shortly after, I updated to macOS 27.2.
I also frequently use Spotlight for quick math, so I tried to turn Calculator results back on. I went to System Settings → Spotlight, and… all the app settings were gone. Restarting didn’t help.
One frustrating week later I saw this: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/stop-siri-search-accessing-iphone-apps/ This applies to macOS too. They buried the settings under Siri, with nothing to point you there.

I thought there was a user search that showed you what they upvoted or downvoted on. To me that could be abused by a party like the US border agents, or ads to check what type of things you’ve marked as a yay or nay

Further to the point.
While my established white coder counter parts are scared of LOOSING their jobs.
I know countless Black coders who NEVER got a high wage coding job. Despite the skill. Ever, just due to racism or geography.
Or fuck... so many people WERE the people SaaS automated into fucked up low wage gigs where high wages once were.
The entire SaaS profits WERE the stolen wages of local economies.
So like cabs & Uber, I think its clear, coding as a profession is looking about equal.
