@davidgerard This has to be the Windows 11 mucked up version, right? MSPaint is the geeky program sitting over in the start menu, there to help you make a meme or something when you need it... come on, now!

MS Paint has pretensions now. It can do layers! It can have critical security vulnerabilities! It can do all the things the big boys can do!
@davidgerard Actually I'm guessing it's just something really boring -- e.g. if you actively download a .bmp file from the Internet & then open it, then it may turn out to be malformed & trigger a decades-old bug in some weird undocumented .bmp feature. But there's so little information in the CVE write-up it's hard to tell.
