When covid started I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t on Twitter or reddit or Facebook. I was in college, doing that and had a baby. We watched cartoons and when they slept I’d read and write. I had no idea until no one was on the road or at Walmart with me. I had no idea how to even get information about what was happening, so I went to the county website and found nothing. my professors stopped livestreaming and sent helpful information about it the same week so I got it.

Turned out the city had a Facebook page that people were getting their information from. And there was also a Twitter.

Then my kid gets to be school aged. The fucking school used Facebook and twitter to communicate with parents. I missed so many programs, and lacked information about everything that happened there.

Fucking hate it.

Just popped this game open for the first time and I can't believe I have heard NOTHING about it. The first five minutes are astonishing.

The skateboarding, the callouts, the clapping... this might be the best first five minutes of a walking sim I've ever seen. And it's mostly credits.

The Mixtape team nailed one of the most critical part of the game: the intro. I recommend it just to study the intro, regardless of what the rest of the game holds.

Before media allowed us to recognize important people by face, fur (and expensive clothing in general) are how the wealthy ensured they would be treated with deference. The coat you wore did the talking when you arrived at a restaurant without reservations for example, not your face.

We retain that impulse with the car we drive, the one area of our life where anonymity prevails.

These coats were investments, and for a while would literally open doors for you. And that belongs in the past.

Anyone buying a newly made fur coat for fashion is doing it show off the cruelty.
