And most of the people responsible for the smoothness with which this election proceeded are relatively anonymous, toiling away at the unglamorous work that quietly keeps democracy running. We owe them all a great debt.
@mattblaze you're welcome.

Like today, maybe late afternoon?
@stux Not enough votes in the senate to convict plus why rush to get President Vance when Trump is proving so helpful to Democrats

Crypto and AI super PACs spent $250 million on the midterms. In competitive races, their candidates got clobbered: nine losses out of 12 called so far, including Ohio, where crypto spent $64 million and still couldn’t beat Sherrod Brown.

There's other things going on with the laptop as well, but just to get it to load I've had to use safe mode without networking.
Aim being to uninstall as much as possible to get it running well enough to run an antivirus (right now it just blue screens after a few minutes).
But OneLaunch will not die.
I don't mean will not die in the sense that I'm having trouble removing it from the computer, it's more like a cartoon zombie that you kill and it just comes back from the dead.
I've tried uninstalling, I've scoured regedit, I've used autoruns to check for any trace, I've searched for any mention of it. It can't get online to reinstall and yet every reboot... There it is.As if no action was taken.
Hahahaahahahahahahahahaha.
Get this woman a Gundam.
Ah yes, the new transport-themed crisp flavour: Walker’s See it, Say it, Salted.
30 Days to Quaker Ways

Notice the urge to react.
When something irritates or provokes you, pause before responding.
Observe your immediate reaction.

I am no expert here but what the heck are "vital blood bank refrigerators" doing on the internet???
My inlaws have installed a piece of software called OneLaunch.
The name seems fitting, I'm about to launch this fucking laptop out the window

I'm not excited to win, because winning is important to me, I'm excited for the possibility of life getting easier and better for everyone.
@RickiTarr i am and I’m not even pondscum
Data centers were on the ballot and they lost big time. Voters in at least 29 jurisdictions approved restrictions on data centers.
Hyperscalers have committed trillions to AI infrastructure they may not be able to build.
The AI bubble is inflated by the idea that there’s enormous demand for AI. So what happens if the demand shows up but there’s no capacity to meet it? 🫧
