I don't mean will not die in the sense that I'm having trouble removing it from the computer, it's more like a cartoon zombie that you kill and it just comes back from the dead.
I've tried uninstalling, I've scoured regedit, I've used autoruns to check for any trace, I've searched for any mention of it. It can't get online to reinstall and yet every reboot... There it is.As if no action was taken.
My wife had some hardware that needed old Win 7 software to run (camera for a microscope). Anyway for a long time the solution was install Debian linux and then install Win 7 in a VM. I made the baseline VM of win 7 with nothing... then cloned it and installed the software... then cloned that and had people run that clone... If anything went wrong I could literally nuke the VM and fall back to known good
not saying you SHOULD do this, just that it is a thing you CAN do.
Isn't there a "reset everything expect user files" functionality i Windows these days that could help?
There's other things going on with the laptop as well, but just to get it to load I've had to use safe mode without networking.
Aim being to uninstall as much as possible to get it running well enough to run an antivirus (right now it just blue screens after a few minutes).
But OneLaunch will not die.
