@MsDropbear42 Hello 😊 on my machine (with a mobile nvidia card) i can see some 10% spikes in GPU usage when the notification dots are pulsing, it looks like the CSS animation is causing this. i don't know if this is the cause of your 90% spikes but a fix could be to add an option to disable this animation. (i still have to check if there something to see with the notifications sound )

This is the kind of funding the Fediverse actually needs. Better tools are great, but without people making things worth watching or listening to, we’re just building increasingly elegant infrastructure for arguing about infrastructure. Pairing creators with developers is a genuinely smart move.

poVoq here. I am starting to think I am cursed, because everything works fine (or is at least fixable with a remote server restart) until the second I go on a longer business trip and can’t easily access the hardware.
Have you tried leaving for a couple hours and then coming back and giving the server a couple of bytes of a treat? You know, ease the server into you leaving.
@SonnyBonds I use Gnome already with CachyOS as my Desktop Environment and I really like it.
It was a very normal choice after 20 years on a Mac, where KDE just felt too different. I do really like the whole community around KDE, really nice to follow.
@mosgaard There was some functionality (I can't even remember what right now) that worked better for me on KDE, but Gnome was a really smooth experience. I wish the title bars were a little bit smaller though. :D

At the moment, the configuration loader loads the specified file immediately, which means I'd have to give it a search path so it can do so. I'm not sure I want that. I'd prefer if Blueprint was unaware of the search path, and it would be the part of the code that takes a blueprint, and constructs the servers and whatnot, that part would take care of searching.
So, for the time being, I'll just remove configuration file=.... I'll add it back later, along with initial-seed file=... and possible some other similar things.
Hrm, decisions, decisions. How do I handle SexDungeonLayout::default(), aka the default for script?
I think I'll leave it as-is for the time being, until I can try what makes sense.
