the grapheneos mastodon account is really turning into an ai slop replyguy. i wanted to like them but this is all such a big nope now. like.. choosing to port a kernel with insufficient testing resources, using chatbots to debug it, then becoming a pro-chatbot social media personality? they could have chosen not to do any of that.

@bedirthan @sewblue LA's tendency to lose power during wildfire events (and hence, comms) exacerbates things, as well. This last round (thankfully, no fires) -- no power. Then lost Internet.. then cell phone was spotty (as expected, although the cell phone carriers have been mandated to have backup for those occasions, still see telecom personnel towing generators back and forth frantically....)
50% of all heavy (12tonne+) trucks sold in China are now fully electric. CHINA — likely one of the largest heavy truck markets in the world — at 226,000 units in the first 9 months of 2026.!
But this is the real kicker for my #bcpoli #abPoli and #canPoli friends who are concerned about LNG.

That’s right kids… the market for LNG as a ‘transition’ is already dying…. In large part probably because of Trump and Putin’s oil wars.

I guess we're just not rich enough for modern cars - can't afford one in the first place and can't afford a big enough garage to please the sensors in one, either.

This is the third time that University of Calgary has a copy that they won't loan out of a mass-produced paperback novel, what the hell Calgary... and the third time it's the only copy at a library system in Canada.
