Folks, @mattbors and I will be in Vancouver, B.C., Nov. 9–11 to sign That One Matt Bors Comics books + prints in a warehouse. We’ve tried to find a bookstore or comics store that would host us or even let us rent the venue to do a talk & have Matt sign stuff. No luck! Ideas?

@evan yeah I usually make myself choose an answer, but in this case I don't think I know enough. Consensus is great in my context as a (sometimes practicing) Quaker, with a culture built around managing consensus. But I know I live in a weird bubble and most people have never encountered a consensus process in real life, and maybe have never heard of consensus decision-making. (Also consensus doesn't always mean unanimity.)

Sometimes I think about being pulled aside as a kid for criticizing abstinence only/purity culture in schools and being told “look, we’re just trying to prevent kids from having sex.” I guess they thought letting me on the “secret” would get me on their side, but all it taught me is that mfers will literally scream until their face is red and bring themselves to tears over some shit they don’t actually care about in order to manipulate you.

& Where was all this effort to stop pedophilia in Floyd County schools? Or is making kids too ashamed to talk about sex part of the cover up 🤔

@mitsuhiko I think most scientists would tell you that's assuming the premises. 😊 The whole point of a confidence interval is it's specifically the end-result of having done a bunch of work to validate the randomness of the sample.

If what you want is some way to express to your reader "this is a small sample", I think your original graph's labels are sufficient for conveying that; think the rest of the viz was pretty excellent.
