@bbauer I have been suggested it might be to go easy on the septic tank. I remember my parents’ house being connected to the town sewage system in the 90s and I haven’t had to think about septic tanks since, I’m not in a hurry to go back to this antiquated system.

Anyone know of any student-led anti-GenAI campaigns in UK schools? My daughter hates the amount it gets used *by the school itself* and wants to do something…
Badges! She could totally make and hand out badges, she's normally covered in pin badges anyway so we know it's not breaching uniform regs. Now I just need someone with a badge machine.

Maybe a nice activity is designing and test printing a few sticker styles with her - then deciding which ones are more effective and ordering some. She will quickly find out which students are on the right side of the problem :-)
@rhempel it’s more that most of the AI content is on screens, and stickering the screens would be a bit too risky for her. 🤣

I feel like the BBC would be in a very unique position to put up a Loops instance and post clips from all of their various shows. If there's anything that's perfect for vertical short-form videos, it's British comedy.
They already do this with Facebook, Instagram, and probably Tiktok. I would be beside myself if I could watch bits of Monty Python, Eight Out of Ten Cats Do Countdown, Peep Show, and Graham Norton all on Loops.

This is one of the dumbest fediverse server rules I have seen. Equating politics and religion and discouraging people to speak up about injustice because it might make others feel uncomfortable ("plaster it in other people's faces") is such a stupidly privileged thing to do. This rule says a lot about the people running the server.
