Deno is joining Cloudflare.

I wrote about Deno's decline a few months ago: I wish Deno would keep doing what it does best. I shared its vision, but I think it never got far because a startup was the one carrying it out. This decision makes me more sure of that.

It also settles something for me. From now on I won't trust a development platform built by a startup, however good the vision. Too risky, too easy to get betrayed.

What I'd rather see is people with strong ideas about development platforms letting go of the impatience and building them as community-driven F/OSS projects instead. Funding is the obstacle, of course. I hope good F/OSS funds like NLnet and the Sovereign Tech Fund keep expanding.

Current rule I'm implementing with archunit.

- Packages are limited in size to 20 classes, interfaces, and records (total). This includes inner classes but only applies to public and package-private objects.
- An interface may have a single default implementation in the same package and the two together will only count as one.
- I'm not counting package-private guice modules or enums of any visibility since I want to encourage the LLM to use them.

Basically I'm using archunit to shape good behavior from the LLM.

Although I don't care much about "number of followers", i find funny that the guy who was actively trying to kick me out of Loops still only have a single follower while I'm now nearing 400 :-)

Does anyone know if a Unicode domain will show up as Unicode in the default #Bluesky app? In other apps?
