@evan @grigs The interviews were not related to their idea to launch the #forkiverse fwiw, (which I wouldn't have advised they launch the way they did).
But too bad they didn't publish the interviews we did, I bet they would have been interesting materials
Fun story: I got labelled an "Amish" (more accurately: we got compared to Amish who debate merits of horse carriages 🐴over cars 🚗) yesterday for refusing a genAI patch in a merge request for @GIMP.
It's not like we don't explicitly write in our merge request template that any genAI contribution is refused (code, but also text, images…), and as though we haven't said it explicitly for years now.
Anyway, so now I'm an Amish. It made me laugh. 🤣
Hilarious! This is the kind of thread that keeps me in Mastodon!
@grishka It's an auto-update until an adversary finds a way to use it maliciously, I suppose 🤷
@cattail what if the developer turns into an adversary, e.g. after an acquisition?
til; there is spin off series from How to train your dragon movies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DreamWorks_Dragons:_The_Nine_Realms
@null need another spin-off; how to train your models 🤣
When it comes to modern software, where is the line between a backdoor and automatic updates?
Your periodic reminder that _this_ should not be italicized and **this** should not be bold.
Very pleased to have finished off my Necromantic Horror #BloodBowl team today (including a couple of printed Star Players). Now to move on the the next #MiniPainting project.
#Fedilab has left the Google Play Store.
You can update your Google version manually using the APK files attached to the release notes.
For automatic updates shortly after the release, I recommend switching to Fedilab's custom F-Droid repository.
See how to do that in the next message of this thread.
(1/2)
1. Export your settings from the Google version
2. Install [F-Droid](https://f-droid.org/docs/Get_F-Droid/)
3. Install [Sunup](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.unifiedpush.distributor.sunup/), and open it once to set it up
4. Add the [custom repository](https://fdroid.fedilab.app/) to F-Droid
5. Install Fedilab from the custom repository
6. Open the new Fedilab and import your settings using the 3 dots on the instance selection screen
7. Check that Sunup is selected as push distributor under Settings --> Notifications
8. Success :)

@49016@mastodon.catgirl.cloud @catsalad@infosec.exchange
Im thinking about it and it may be doable. But my efforts right now are better used in other places

no no, wafrn can not commit such crimes because its hell on the database and cpu. it skips a lot of optimizations we have made
@benpate Well, hey! That’s our first album you’ve landed on there. Glad we made it into your rotation :)
@mvos Well, your album is absolutely awesome, and it made my day! Thanks for posting it :)
