What's some interesting thinky podcasts you've been listening to? Leaning more towards interesting things, less about politics, which I listen to plenty of stuff about already, don't need more of that rn.
The more unusual the better. No topic too strange.
@avtpiavva Hi 👋 it sounds similar to this https://codeberg.org/GeopJr/Tuba/issues/1801 if you have any information not found there that could help figure out where the problem lies, please add it to issue!

Mastodon admins - I've popped a couple of feature requests in for mail domain and IP geolocation checking for account moderation. Both would need to be opt-in as third party services would be needed, but they'd make signup moderation a lot easier! Add a +1 or a comment if they sound useful (or the opposite!)

Hello I love money.
Give it to me so I can make wafrn worse
When we adopted Haru, our black cat, he had spent his first two years in a shelter. He was shy and fearful. Now he has completely changed, and he loves coming to us for pets.
After a month of preparation, we are welcoming Foxy (her original name). She is three years old and has spent two years in the shelter.
Adopting an animal is a serious decision that shouldn't be made on impulse.
Adoption takes time. Animals come with their own history, and our role is to help them build a new life.

Yep, here's my presentation at Berlin FediDay 2026, where I talked about SciOp and its federation plans. 🙂
That was a really nice environment and audience for this exchange. Good Q&A too. I'm looking forward to the recording of the “research on the fediverse” panel at the end of the session.
@andrewblasco oh, I think I might know what the issue is. Do you have filters enabled? It looks like I made it "dimming" not work then, can't remember why, my guess is that if you have filtered out all notifications but the trivial ones, then they'd all just be dimmed.
If you confirm that's the case, I can change it to maybe check if all non-filtered notifications are trivial instead of just disabling it outright if there's a filter applied!
@andrewblasco *notification filters, from the headerbar filter icon*
@Tuba UnifiedPush disabled
The command returns true, but notifications still not dimmed 🤔

@Tuba Hey! It seems the option to "fade" not so important notifications don't work properly.
Just in case you didn't notice. Version 0.11.1
@andrewblasco Thanks for letting me know! I can't reproduce it here on first sight, but could you confirm some things for me so I can narrow it down?
- Do you have UnifiedPush enabled?
- Close Tuba by clicking the X button (not killing it!) and run `flatpak run --command=gsettings dev.geopjr.Tuba get dev.geopjr.Tuba dim-trivial-notifications`, what's the output?
- If it's true and you re-open Tuba, are the notifications dimmed now?
@gabboman Hey, friend. We've got some question marks about you in the #ActivityPub coverage matrix for #RFC9421. Does #wafrn accept RFC 9421 signatures? Does it send them (harder)?

@creativecommons This is a great read. I'm going to caution you: any mention of AI on the Fediverse, even one as balanced and thoughtful as this, will attract crazies who want you to DIE DIE DIE for not saying that anyone who makes or uses AI should DIE DIE DIE. Please ride it out; use your block button liberally; this conversation is worth having.
Creative Commons has been exploring questions around artificial intelligence for a long time, guided by a commitment to balance creator agency in how people participate in the commons, while preserving the public’s right to reuse. As the technology, its impacts, and what we’ve learned from communities have evolved, so has our thinking. But our principles and the fundamental questions informing our work have not.
