One of the top threads on the ClaudeAI subreddit right now: "I am done with this shit" https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1wm5c21/i_am_done_with_this_shit/

Curious to see just how much of the thread on a quite pro-genAI subreddit is people commiserating on the exhaustion of their work turning primarily into tedium and poor engineering.

Bonus in that the Claude AI summary bot in the thread says:

> The Rise of the Meat Proxy: You're not an engineer anymore, you're an "organic vessel designed to press enter." Or, as one user so poetically put it, you're just a condom between Claude and your production server getting fucked. Your only real job is to be the warm body they can blame when the AI slop inevitably breaks.

英語って基本的に先頭の単語だけ大文字にするものという理解だけど、ユーザーインターフェース上では単語ごとに先頭が大文字になっている場合が多いのってなぜ？

@veil_im Thank you! I'll try to join your test flight.

And for sure, there are tons of trade-offs with MLS -- especially in a distributed environment. We're still wrestling with one of the biggest: group membership metadata and message delivery. And that may never be solved in a way that makes everyone happy.

@blog für wen baue ich denn dann in Zukunft plugins?

Agreed 👍🏻

And fortunately for me, most of that legwork was already done by the [real cryptographers] who designed MLS, and ts-mls, the encryption library that implements it.

Still, there's *tons* of security work still to do - even for the low bar of protecting from snoopy admins.

I'd love to chat about your work. The VEIL website looks really impressive. Do you have a demo app I can dig into?

@veil_im

@liaizon @freecad definitely something we'd love to do! We did talk in February, but need to take another look now everything has moved on a bit further 😊

Should you listen to some no wave today? Art rock? Indie? Punk? Or maybe something with woodwinds?

Yes. ✔️🐦‍⬛

Ok. How about: I'm not qualified to build national security level encryption and I'd love to have help from someone like you to make it better.

I've built a very good proof of concept messenger that I plan to keep improving. The source code is here: https://github.com/EmissarySocial/conversations-mls

And I'm been trying to get help to do a formal security review. But that's harder to get done.

Everything is open source. Please help us make it better.

Community rules will ship alongside federated groups in the upcoming Bonfire release 🎉
