これは実は、コンピュータのマウスが発明される前の、キーボードショートカットが主流だった時代の名残であり、また、PCのモニターやテキストがすでに読みづらかった当時、視力の弱い人々のためのアクセシビリティの初期の形でもありました。技術は変化しましたが、その形式はそのまま残っています。

This is actually a holdover from when keyboard shortcuts were the norm, before the computer mouse was invented, and also an early form of accessibility for people with poor vision, when PC monitors and text were already hard to read. The technology changed, but the formatting has remained the same.
