This clip of May, nearly in tears, resonates with me. She pleads to a nearly empty House: the first budget in over a decade to repudiate climate targets altogether. Those targets are legally binding, and net zero by 2050 isn’t consistent with the science. In the 70's they warned our “children’s children” would suffer. We are those children’s children, and we’re letting our kids suffer. Canada is still on planet Earth.
