According to the weather forecast big rain is coming.
Supposedly we have a three day window to batten down the hatches.
Time to put on our work clothes and get things done outside in this unseasonably warm weather.
Summer volunteered to serve as team leader today. She will be in charge of safety protocols, in practice and in good intentions.
It was in this spirit that she ran to get me a hat and gloves.
I will certainly be reminded regularly to hydrate too.
We commenced with moving thirty pots of dahlias to their winter home and picked up all the dog poop that some how got distributed far and wide on Summer's front acre.
Now to try out my refurbished old mower.
Good thing I got all that extra rest last night.
