If the tech industry had to face the same regulations as a city hot dog cart vendor, their business models would fail like they should have. Uber, Airbnb, Amazon Prime, etc.
I love how the "AI industry" just utterly falls apart the moment it's clear they may face real opposition, regulation, and even the smallest amount of scrutiny
