this kinda stuff just gives me even more reason to attempt a gentoo/netbsd and go improve things with openrc on that side instead

there's no point in having a conversation about the architectural design that affects everyone, if we'll just be hit with "but it has to work like systemd's architecture because we refuse to use cgroup apis ourselves"
like what, having a sandbox actually manage the parameters of a sandbox instead of telling pid1 to do it too hard? it's literally files you write to, it's literally simpler than calling systemd over dbus
