"There are plenty of excellent outtake reels from Star Trek: The Next Generation, which are always good for a laugh when you need it. But the best out-of-character moment comes from a little birthday message our beloved captain recorded for Gene Roddenberry’s birthday—The Alphabet Song, complete with a hat and cane, and a little dance. I can never decide whether this or the Sesame Street B soliloquy deserves the top spot in his alphabet performances. Because he has more than one."
