i know i know, i say this every year, but could we have a design for once that does not lean heavily on the "[retro] cyber / digital / tron"-aesthetic? I so enjoyed that of 36c3 being at least a little away from tech, and i feel thematically we dearly need less computer touching in this whole thing …
(to be clear, this is not meant as a criticism of any single particular design or the effort that went into it!)

@leah unfortunately i wasn't around back then! So I basically only know the intro sequence for talk recordings, though that one always seemed kinda neat to me
