Trump always shows who he is. Elevating Stephen Miller to Chief of Staff makes it all the more imperative for Democratic Congress to do everything possible to rein in and dismantle ICE, and reconstruct DHS, including by dismantling it and parceling out legitimate functions to existing agencies.

we need house and senate doing master level use of congressional powers and rules. yet more weight to the argument why schumer/jeffries aren't it.
good to see some of the incoming folks already announcing plans and priorities. not only are they going to need to hit the ground running, we all need to be watching every move of this lame duck congress until the new congress is seated.

You're absolutely right!
However, people must defend the new Congress. ICE, as re-engineered by Miller and Trump, exists to reverse/suppress elections. Promoting Miller now suggests that ICE will make its move before the January seating of the new House and Senate. We need to support Marc Elias and others (including Heidi Li Feldman!) who are resisting election theft. And contribute to the newly elected who will have massive expenses as they fight dirty tricksters.
