@stojg In fairness I've only ever gone to Dunedin for conferences so I'm always heading to basically the CBD. Or Central University District or whatever -- my Dunedin geography is so limited I don't know if that's the same thing. Point being, I'm mostly just bitter that there isn't (or wasn't when I was last there) any kind of airport bus. This is a particularly silly thing to be bitter about since it's my work that pays for the taxi fare, but hey, it's the principle of the thing!
@zeborah @BobLefridge after I’ve been there (solo) I asked my partner who went to Uni there how students managed to get to the airport without paying a taxi and she said “we always knew someone with a car that gave us a ride ride.”
But let’s not forget that Wellington didn’t have a public transport from the airport to CBD either for the longest time.
@BobLefridge So she was planning to fly from Dunedin airport home to... Dunedin?
I mean I know Dunedin airport is quite a distance from the city but I'm not sure if that was going to work out for her even without the blizzard.
