I think I might stop reading The Odyssey because idk I'm on book 4 or 5 or something and they're still not talking about Odysseus!
It's like the world's longest preamble.
It's literally Telemachus going about to various dinner parties to have a chat and generally talk about anything other than Odysseus. At one point the rulers of the house don't even bother to ask him who he is and they give him food and a bed for the night so they can ask him who the hell he is in the morning.
I just want one eyed giants and things.
