Tankies are always white people, IME.
Tho they claim to be worker focussed, they are ableist. Saw this with COVID. They devalue & dismiss disabled who can’t work bc of working conditions. They uphold capitalism while feigning activism & are willing to throw marginalized people under the bus to meet their goals. White privilege protects them as they direct others to sacrifice their lives for Tankie goals which are never stated & rarely include policy or plan. They are rebels without a cause.

@JoBlakely I've always thought of tankies as basically fascists trying to hijack socialism.
I think there might possibly have been a fascist group, awhile back, which actually had "socialist" in their name... historians help me out here?

@woozle exactly. They are like Schumer and Jeffries. All talk, no plan or action.
@JoBlakely ...or at least their only plan, ever, is to get power and then do "whatever it takes™" / "what has to be done™" to keep it.
They don’t join grassroots organizations or groups in community already doing the work, because too many diverse people and needs and they aren’t in charge nor can control them. They are bigots but want the economic benefits of socialism, without the social part. Tankies are tyrants who want to tell others what to do, but not do it themselves. Their racism, misogyny, & ego is what prevents them joining established groups, often led by Black people, esp. Black women. They want to be in control.
