#unix #desktop I want a little tool that sits in my #i3 taskbar and can notify me about various things.
All I need is a little round image, green if we are good, red if there are notifications/alerts/information.
The data can come from an XML feed, for example.
Does anybody know of simple FLOSS tools that do this, that I can modify or build off?
Ideally I would be able to reuse https://relm4.org/ which seems a very neat way of building programs, but I'll settle for anything to start with.
@dch If you're evaluating GUI toolkit options, I'd throw Fyne into the suggestion box. (full disclosure: core team member and using it on OpenBSD)
