I’m trying to convince my dad to start a podcast for his band’s live shows. Each show would be a liveItem, and they’d each be released as an episode. Fans could donate directly through the podcast app to the band’s PayPal. Do any bands do this today?

@ChadF @sirtjthewrathful @boobury That is sweet. Thanks for sharing, Chad.
I was more thinking along the lines of using liveItem as basically your tour schedule rather than a one-time broadcast. Lots of bands, especially small local ones, are constantly touring (like the Doerfels did when they were kids), and hosting that schedule in a podcast would be like a free notification system for them and a nice schedule for their fans (depending on how apps implements the liveItem in this case)

Just realized you can use `location` inside `liveItem` too, so you could even put the venue info in there so each gig has a location associated and fans know where to go. Too bad there’s no way to embed a link to the venue’s site to buy tickets
@atdrago @sirtjthewrathful @boobury and other have done streaming live concerts that later become podcast.
This is the raw set from one we did and is imo the best V4V music set to date. This is TJs brother band and it was live streamed form TJs home studio for a live battle of the bands Boobury did. More info than you wanted but it's great.
