This confusion between retribution and ramifications (accountability) moving forward in the USA is interesting from a feminist perspective. Holding the current admin (et al.) accountable for their actions and them facing the ramifications of those actions is what adults do. And adults accept responsibility for their actions and the ramifications of them.

But, men have historically not been held responsible for abhorrent behavior, particularly when the victims are not (white) men.
