Don't believe anything you read about the inevitability of Chuck Schumer becoming Majority Leader.
You may have seen this before, but here is an analysis of Schumer support from back in August of a potential whip count for the 2027 Senate assuming the Dems won a bunch of seats. And they won even more! [The detail is in the subsequent reply.]
Chuck Schumer does not have the votes to become Majority leader.
