Folks can inform themselves or spread false information. The felon rapist was previously impeached, twice. Coward republicans protected the criminal insurrectionist. In the present case we need 13 republicans to vote with all 54 Democratic senators to convict and remove. (54 +13 =67)
A two-thirds majority of the U.S. Senators present at the trial is required to convict in an impeachment.
A Majority is Needed for Conviction. To convict an official during an impeachment trial in the Senate, a two-thirds majority of the Senators present is required. This means that if all 100 Senators are present, at least 67 votes are necessary for a conviction.
Conviction Vote: Each article of impeachment is voted on individually.
If the Senate achieves a two-thirds majority for any article, the official is convicted and removed from office.
If the vote does not reach the required majority, the official is acquitted and remains in office.
