I hope things in the US will get less bad if the Democrats actually do flip Congress, but I'm not optimistic that it'll be by very much. Trump will keep doing insane shit via Executive Order, and they won't be able to make any laws unless they miraculously get enough votes to override his veto, which seems unlikely. But the thing I'm already preemptively annoyed about is them looking at this situation, saying "oh we can't pass anything" and then just...not passing anything? NO, MAKE HIM VETO IT

Democrats don't ever seem to realize how much they're shooting themselves in the foot by saying "the Republicans won't let us do XYZ" when they never actually forced a vote on it, and then they turn around and blame dumb low-information voters for being ignorant and dumb for not following the 5D chess everyone in Congress is supposedly playing, instead of just holding the vote and then talking about how each individual congressperson voted
If they spend all their time doing "impeachments" that don't actually result in him NOT BEING PRESIDENT ANYMORE instead of forcing him to repeatedly sign his name on vetos of popular bills, it'll be a completely waste. And if they decide to compromise and write bills he won't veto, that will also be a waste (and probably evil)
