I'd insist that close ally of US VP JD Vance—whose entire political existence can be attributed to Peter Thiel's inner circle–Jamil Jivani undergo the exact same review since Telesat is in direct competition with Elon Musk's Starlink for contracts with the government of Canada.
Jivani's interests seem to repeatedly align with American interests.
