I’ve been deluged in the last couple of weeks by AI-authored emails wanting to promote vibe-coded subscription software tools. I’m simply ignoring them all now.
They’re quite easy to spot: they normally start with a reference to what I’ve written at some point; then a weirdly-phrased few paragraphs about the product (often with a UTM-tracked URL); then an offer of a free month’s subscription; and finally a oddly phrased thing about this email not being a request for paid coverage. They’re rarely from a human being - often from “The BlahApp Team” or similar.
Just hitting the delete key is oddly satisfying; but I may have to resort to using some form of filter to get rid of them.
In any case, in most cases Stephen Robles has vibecoded a better product, and given it away free. I really don’t want another paid-for transcription tool, or a paid-for captioning tool, or a paid-for wrapper for ffmpeg. Not should anyone else.
