@stux I can't tell if this is satire or just a person genuinely lacking self awareness...I mean *three whole years* noodling on projects before his *dad* made him SVP?! Clearly, that's a sign of hard work and talent. lol
@stux greatest plot twist I’ve seen
@stux Or maybe it's satiric, which apparently is not easy for a lot of people to see right away, given the comments.
@stux soooo nepotism then. Not hard work. Nepotism. If you really wanted to prove that you were worthwhile, maybe work at a different company? Just saying.
@stux I'm not saying people like Aleks didn't achieve anything on their own or didn't contribute anything. I'm sure they did something right and helped speed things along. However, I'm also saying that they are DELUSIONAL if they persuade themselves that their results and impacts would have been the same, had the CEO not been their dad. Utterly delusional. And so people like Aleks go forth into this world assuming that everyone could do what they did. Bollocks!
@stux Let me tell you from experience, he's nothing special. One stumble or medical event and he's gone, and they will replace him in the blink of an eye.
@stux
I agree with the words and i love the irony hidden in brackets.
@stux I think lots of children of executives struggle. /s
@stux Every company I have worked for has or had nepotism problems. I used "had" in there because some of those companies are no longer in business due partly to nepotism. The employees who got boosted up the ladder by nepotism were mostly dead weight from there on, if they weren't already.
Did some value stream mapping with outside consultants at one of those companies. The accurate numbers don't lie. Soon there were some personnel changes made and only one of the nepotism factors remained.
@stux This has to be a poe. No way could someone be that oblivious.
The "dad" reference adds absolutely nothing to the author's delusional tale of success.
This is the only thing of value he's likely ever created ... and it was inadvertent.
Onion-worthy amazing.
@stux "When I was a lad I served a term / As office boy to an Attorney's firm..."
@stux this is proof positive that brackets do the heavy lifting
@stux Harry the kids always up in everyone's face trying to "Move the needle" and it's f@$kin annoying. nobody can work.
OK, ok I'll give him some bullshit title and pay him to go away.
