I could swear that there was a Star Trek 4 tie-in commercial set in space. The whale probe is coming at us when it stops transmitting, retracts its little transmitter dealie, goes vertical and silent (like the end of the movie), and then turns into a refreshing can of space Pepsi.

The internet seems to know nothing about this, but the internet has always been pretty bad at 80s pop ephemera. Anybody else want to second this as a thing that was real?
