In case you haven't heard, the 2026 COVID vaccines are out so go get on that!
@Alice the CVS by my house had some yard sale looking signs out in the grass advertising shots, so i popped in
it was kinda funny because i live in a pretty red area, so when one of the employees yelled to the back asking if they had any more of them covid shots, the disembodied answer was "oh yeah we got a LOT of those!"
@beaiouns Yeah, it's so funny to me because I thought it was going to be mayhem when the vaccine first came out with everyone lining up and/ or a lottery like in Contagion only to find that appointments weren't hard to get because some people are idiots.
I ended up getting my first COVID shot in an amusement park parking lot which made everything feel especially surreal.
I’m specifically mentioning this because I feel like I haven't seen any real notifications about the COVID vaccine availability in the last couple of years and just decided to look it up myself so I just got the COVID/flu one-two punch.
The good news is that my hospital group usually gets the COVID vaccine later than most pharmacies, so if my place has it, most should!
Kaiser down here in South Bay got it and flu about a month ago.
@NuclearOatmeal Yeah, I have Kaiser in NorCal and didn't receive any sort of notification so I had to go digging around on their page to confirm they had it, which is why I’m posting.
Last year, l got antsy and just went to CVS and paid out of pocket because Kaiser was dragging their feet, but luckily they reimbursed me for it after the fact!
Yes, yes, do!
I and one partner got ours last week, other partner get's theirs today.
Got my flu shot too.
@Alice We’re getting ours today.
@Alice I just got my flu and covid shot - no side effects aside from a bit of a sore arm.
I think by now people know if they want it, they can go get one.
