my team at work was just pushed to meet an arbitrary deadline, including more than doubling the team size over two months and a bunch of folks going much deeper into the LLM hole
and I’m just reading through all this code today and feeling such a sinking sense of… frankly grief at how much the well-structured code I helped set up 4 months ago has become a giant, gnashing pile of questionably-split components, repetitive code, and some truly-obvious LLM garbage that now may or may not get fixed😭
I need a new job. Let me know if there’s an opening for a very thoughtful, playful person who despises AI, cares about web standards, actually loves CSS and UX, has a long history in animation, and can write web or game code that ships with remarkably-few bugs (because I’m persistent and attentive)
