Everyone at the Discworld Convention is very sorry to hear of the death of the great Sir Patrick Stewart. Like Sir Terry Pratchett, he was a patron of Humanists UK; sadly, also like Sir Terry, he suffered with dementia.

Sir Patrick's wonderful voice and many iconic roles will live on forever, and he will be very much missed by us all.

Black text on a pale grey background with a black Art Nouveau border. The text reads "GNU Sir Patrick Stewart" above a colour photo of Sir Patrick smiling gently at the camera. The photograph has been given a glittery gold digital frame.
