A new version of Kirigami, the framework that allows you to create apps for Plasma, Windows, macOS and Android, is out.

Your donation keeps Kirigami alive. Visit our fundraiser and support Kirigami!

A new release of Kirigami Addons is out! Version 1.16.0 brings support for material style, an improved search for the settings dialog and a lot of small quality improvements.

@kde How can I specify a donation goes directly to Kirigami, Neochat, etc.? In the past it was just writing a comment as part of the donation, right?

The fundraising page is cute but doesn't do much to actually explain anything :D

No every project has the infrastructure in place to handle donations.

Donations through the fundraiser go to KDE and the community in general. The community decides where to adjudicate its resources.

You can often donate to individual developers through GitHub, but then Microsoft will take a cut 🤷 .

@kde Understandable, thanks for the response 😊 Will just donate via the fundaiser. 🫡

(And no, not gonna throw money via GitHub, Microsoft should be able to handle themselves with all the firings they've done, they don't need any more money)

Bear in mind that there are a lot of projects that are kind of invisible but are essential to support the more popular ones: frameworks, libraries, etc. The community adjudicates resources to those too, even though most users may not have hear of them.

We think it is the fairest system.

This federated comment is not yet available here.
