"Habits I stole from ADHD people who are actually doing well. Not "cured." Just no longer at war with their own brain.
None of these are "wake up at 5am." Promise.
1. They don't trust their memory. At all.
2. If it's not written down the second it exists, its gone. Every thriving ADHD person I know is externalizing constantly. Notes, alarms, sticky pads. Their brain is for having ideas, not storing them.
3. They build for the bad day, not the good one. The system has to work when you feel like garbage, because that's the day you need it. A system that only works when you're motivated isn't a system.
4. They make the good choice the lazy choice. Gym clothes already on. Healthy food at eye level. Phone in another room. They don't rely on willpower, they remove the decision."
@temptoetiam I have a saying: "there are two types of events: the ones in my calendar, and the ones I'll forget about"
