Large parts of the cultural sector and progressive civil society seem to have moved on from debating whether generative AI should be used at all in their practices to a defeatist position where these tools are here to stay and we have to find ways to make them more “green” and ”ethical”.

We all somehow still seem to hope for the big bubble to burst, but where have the bold abolitionist critiques gone, I wonder.
