There's a neighbor, and they have a dog, and dog barks pretty much all night long, and it makes me sad.
It's not the noise, it's quite distant, I only hear it when I go out for a smoke on the deck.
It's that I wish that dog were inside, with its family. I think it must be lonely out there, and soon it will also be cold. I think dogs are people, too, and that's a person who could prolly use some love, and doesn't get it.
And that's what it's like to be a pathological empath.
It's why I stay at home. It's why I don't go to parties, or when I do I quickly get dead drunk. It's why I only make short cameos even when the party is with my family at my home.
Too much loneliness, too much grief, too little love. It's all the barking-all-night dogs one sees. And humans, and even *other* people.
